Space Week: Shape
Lesson 5. The Cow Jumped over the Moon
1. We will be illustrating the cow jumping over the moon using shapes you already know.
2. You will need a white paper from your portfolio, your Sharpie, a crayon and something to trace a circle with.
3. Place your finder in the middle of the paper....then move it up just a little. This is where you will draw you cows head.
4. The cows head should be a trapezoid shape.
5. Next draw you cows body, which can be a square or rectangle or a shape of your choosing. (Artist Choice)
6. Now trace around your circle for the moon.
7. On the moon you will need to add the letter "C" for the craters. Your craters can be different sizes.
8. Now add your cow's legs, which can be rectangles or triangles or artist choice. Make sure your legs look like they are jumping over the moon. The front and back legs should be stretched in front and behind your cow.
9. Go ahead and decorate your cow with spots, a tail, ears, eyes and a nose. You can add triangles for hooves.
10. If you would like to add horns or an utter you can to do that, artist choice.
11. Before you color add a yellow ring on the outside of the moon to give it a glow.
12. Add some yellow stars in the sky.
13. Now color your picture anyway you choose.
14. Go back and color one side of the moon darker that the other. You can use the same color crayon to do this by just pushing harder on one side.
15. Color you craters in darker.
