What are Geometric shapes?

Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements or regular sides and shapes. They do not usually appear in nature.

What are Organic Shapes?

Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

They have irregular sides and shapes.  Humans, flowers and fish are organic shapes.

Lesson 4. Organic Geo Monster

1. You will create a monster that has an organic shaped body. Remember to fill the page with your organic shape.

2. Inside your monster you will add geometric shapes

3. Inside your monster you will also add in lots of organic shapes.

4. Make sure you monster has arms and legs and eyes and a face.

5. The rest of the monsters details are artist's choice. That means you can decide what to add on next.

6. When you have finished designing your monster color it with crayons. 

7. You may color the back ground if you choose to.

8. Remember your monster has to have organic and geometric shapes in it.

9. Make sure to hit the Submit Assignment button to turn your work in. The due date is Oct 12, 2020

Lesson 4. Organic Geo Monster Steps

Step 1. Draw the organic body of your monster.

Step 2. Add in geometric and organic shapes.

Step 3. Give your monster lots of details including arms and eyes.

Step 4. Give your monster a face.

Step 5. Color your monster.

                                            

2nd Grade Name Lines, Circles, Warm and Cool...

First write your name big in Block letters using a Sharpie. If you have 3 or fewer letters in your name (like I do, Lee) then also use the first letter of your last name.

Next step is to fill the page with lines using a ruler or other straight edge. 

Next fill the page with circles making sure to cut through your name somewhere.

I have saved up and been donated a lot of plastic lids that we use as tracers.

When you start to color your project you have to choose if you want the warm colors inside your name or the cool colors. Which ever you choose for your name then the other colors go outside your name. Here Diego has selected to do the cool colors in side his name so the warm colors will be outside his name.

Here Yani has selected to do the warm colors inside his name so he will use the cool colors outside his name. Remember to change colors every time you come to a line.

5th Grade- Name Spiral Warm and Cool Colors..

Step 1. Put a visual dot in the center.

Step 2. Draw 4 arms from the center either off the page at the sides or at the corners. As the arms go out they should spread apart from each other or get wider as they go out.

Step 3. Write your name in capital letters inside the arms. Always start at the dot and work out. Make sure the letters of your name touch the top and the bottom of each line. The letters will get bigger as they go out. Keep writing the letters of your name until you are out of room, let the letters of off the page.

Step 4. Out like the name arms with Sharpie

Step 5. In the space outside the arms you must use a ruler...somehow...that is your only instruction for outside the arms.

Step 6. Color the arms either worm or cool colors but do not mix the warm and cool. It's one or the other. Try and switch colors as you come up on a like. Try to stay away from coloring the arm all one color. Make it interesting.

You can choose to color the arms cool or outside the arms cool. 

If you make the outside warm then make the arm cool.
