My Back Yard...I love May At My House...

Everything is in bloom and it is just so magical out side my studio window. I love my back yard in Virginia!

The Fall Leaves Changing in My Back Yard...

Well it's me standing in my back yard looking at the trees past my neighbors back yard.

But OMG how beautiful right! We do not have seasons in Houston, Texas were we moved to Virginia from. So every Fall it is just so beautiful and fascinating watching all the warm Fall colors popping out everywhere. This is just the greatest couple of weeks for me and hubby.

The deer are getting more brave,  I can not walk outside and do stuff in the back yard without them running off into the woods. 

Today's Art Room Report...

Day 5 

Yeah...the front 1/2 of the room is ready.

The last day of freedom! We actually and officially have to start back Monday. It will be a week full of meetings. So much fun, I just cant wait to sit through all of that! I managed to make it to work before noon today so I did get a lot of work done. I even organized my art poster drawers! All the art is now grouped by artist, period or movement---or size, some of those suckers were huge and hung out the back of the drawer. I hardly ever use them anymore since I have a smart board but they are so pretty and I do hang them on the walls so they get to stay. 

And after 10 years of trying to figure out how to hang art posters on cinder block walls I finally got the best solutions ever. The question was posted on a art teacher Facebook page on how to do this very thing and after reading all the responses and checking off each one's failure in my head seeing as how I had done them all, I came a cross a new one!!!! 

Hot Glue Gunning clothes pins to the wall!!! OMG this has changed my out look on hanging art. I wish I could tell you who posted it but I can not find the original now. If I find her I will hug her and be forever in her debt. It's a brilliant idea.

This is me hot glue gunning the pins to the wall. I finally got to use the long extension cord that hangs down from the celling out of the big yellow box. I also see I need to lose about 1000 lbs. 

Look how awesome the art just hangs up there with the clothes pins. Now I can easily change out the work without ripping up the posters! I am a happy camper!

This is my back yard. 

This is what I get to come home to every night. My studio is just off to the left, where I will be spending my Saturday and Sunday this week! Sadly cleaning and not painting.

Creepy, Scary, Beautiful Sky May 15th 2014..

This photo was taking with my iPhone 5 and not altered in any way. That is really the color of the sky right before a big rain storm...Amazing right!

Big is so silly, no matter where we go he has balls stashed.

A Day In My Life-Bow Practice...

Still can't string my own bow yet but I am working out so hopefully I can do that soon. Got 2 fresh bails of straw to shoot at....Not ready to hang the target on them just yet. Right now I am happy if I just hit one of the bails.

What to do with all that ice and snow...?

I sprayed the ice with stress inks and then laid the paper over it and printed.
