This lesson is based on the Heart song "Dog and Butterfly". I am sure most of you are not old enough to remember the song. When I was in high school I wanted to be Ann and Nancy Wilson. I can not sing or play the guitar so that dream really did not go anywhere! But I can teach art. Ann and Nancy Wilson also wrote a children's book based on the song.

So the lesson is based on the song, which I play for the kids and sometimes sing along until they tell me to stop because I am hurting their ears and the book that I read to them while they are working.
This is one of the last lessons I do at the end of 1st grade. The kids really love this one.
