I think it is very important to teach the art of craftsmanship. Taking pride in your work and its outcome is an good skill to have. I think, however craftsmanship is personal to the each individual creating the work. We do not all work at the same level and should not be judged on the same level. As long as my students are working at their own optimal best that is what is important to me.
