2nd grade Easy Peasy Piggies for Value Change...

Way to cute for words!

First we talked about the basic shapes of the drawing,
oval or egg shaped bodies, oval nose, round eyes and pupils (color in the pupils with a Sharpie)
and triangle ears.
The pigs should stack up one behind the other and there should be 6 pigs, one for each color of the basic color wheel.

Then paint each pig Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet
We discusses how adding more water to your brush and paint make the colors washed out and pale and not added very much water at all make the colors darker and more vibrant.

After you are done painting all the pigs the basic colors of the color wheel go back and add more of the same color to areas and different values of the same color in other areas.
The last step is to paint the background black.
