Cut out red construction paper for the petals and light green for the centers. Use dark green for the leaves.
Make sure the flowers are oversized (but small ones work too !)
Use a green crayon on it's side to color in the back ground. Leave a space around the leaves and petals too. I tell them to hold up on finger, that is the space you should leave.
