First they had to draw out there mask
then they made it out of clay. The clay mask had to match the drawing.
They did an awesome job!

Some things had to pop up by adding clay with slip and score and some things were carved away such as in a relief.
I keep many type of tools for creating a relief and for adding texture to the clay.
I use to only do this project with 5th grade but this year I moved it to 4th grade and they did an great job!
