Thoughts on happiness

Your life is your own, no one can make you depressed or hurt you if you choose not to let them. You have to make a choice how you want to live your life. You can choose to be happy or you can choose to be unhappy. Either way it is your choice alone. You are in control of your happiness. Each day wake up and tell yourself today I will make steps to give myself a happy life and then act on that. Do not let anyone stand in the way of those steps, not your friends or your enemies, not your kids, not your spouse, not even yourself. Just think if you do not make steps to change how your life is going where will you be in 10 years, how will you feel then? You have a chance ever single morning to change your own future. I know you can do this........I did.

Why are you creative? Is art and creative expression important?

"Imagination is more important than knowledge." Albert Einstein

When asked by writer Vaske, what is more important, creativity or science?
Stephen Hawking answered " The question doesn't make sense. You have to be creative to do science. Otherwise you're just repeating tired old formulas. You aren't doing anything new".

When asked by writer Vaske, Can creativity help in solving the problems of the World? Especially the Third World? His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama answered "I think that creativity by itself is something neutral" creativity can be destructive; it can be constructive. So, generally , without creativity, there is no further progress. For this progress, of course creativity is very essential".

When asked by writer Vaske, Gunter Grass (writer) said "art is uncompromising, and life is full of compromise.

When asked by writer Vaske, Mr. President, do you think we need creative thinking to solve the problems of the Third World? Nelson Mandela answered "creative thinking is absolutely necessary. We don't want sterile views, and cliches, which are not related to the specific situation we are addressing. If we want to be relevant, then we have to be creative".
