A Day in My Life...

They say admitting you have a problem is the first step in conquering the problem...so on top of my fear of flying (falling or maybe gravity), bridges, sink holes, eating things that are not the right color, texture, smell, shape, etc. I am also really freaked out by irregularly patterned or clusters of holes or bumps. No I am not freaked out by regularly patterned sets of holes, if it makes since to me it is not a freak out moment. But OMG the sight of any irregularly random set of holes....it just makes me queasy. So today I learned it's a real thing, it has a name--Trypophobia--fear of irregular patterns or clusters of holes or bumps. Please tell me I am not alone in this fear...But this could explain why I draw so many circles in my art work?!

A scary, creepy, hard to look at photo....

My art work....HUM?

My fear is "of people shouting" all goes back to my childhood and the life I have led over the years. I can not even bare to hear people shouting on the TV !!

Well all is good today. And thanks for your email last night which I have replied too.

  2. I am also afraid of bridges, that is, I'm afraid of DRIVING over bridges. Especially in high speed traffic. The Tappan Zee Bridge, a bit north of NYC, is a TWO MILE LONG BRIDGE. In deteriorating condition. That people drive over at like 80mph even when the speed limit says 55. And you need to know what lane to be in to go the right place when you get off the bridge. Terror.. Then of course there's the Whitestone Bridge going into Queens. More terror. I'm also afraid of rodents of any size or style. That includes teeny mice, hamsters, squirrels, beavers, and so on. ANY rodents. And I'm terrified of of making phone calls. I'm not afraid of talking on the phone; the problem is just making the call. I call it "phone-a-phobia". But little random holes? This is the first time of heard of them being scary to anyone!!

    1. On the fear factor Bridges are right up there! As for holes, it's not really a fear so much it's "a can't stand to look at them". So it's a fear I guess that if come up on them or happen to see them then I am forced to look at it. Wow i am wierd !
