Dale Chihuly Glass or Coffee Filters...

We looked at the work of glass artist Dale Chihuly for this project.
Color a regular coffee filter in washable markers.

Spray them with starch,

Hang them upside down on a water bottle to dry,

Mount them on black cardboard and have an art show!

  2. Tried this with the spray starch and all of the colors bled out. I tried more, less, in air, heavy spray starch, homemade corn starch everything gave about the same result. Suggestions?

    1. Not sure...we use heavy spray starch and just leave it draped over a bottle for a few days to dry. The colors will run but that is what they are suppose to do.
